When you use the App, you may voluntarily provide:

Age and gender (used to personalize normal health ranges)
Blood pressure readings (systolic, diastolic), pulse rate
Heart rate measurements (via camera PPG when you choose to use the feature)
Step counts, hydration logs, BMI data, and daily goals you set
Any notes or custom entries you add

Health data is stored locally on your device by default. We do not upload your blood pressure readings, heart rate, steps, or other health metrics to any servers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

We collect certain information automatically through the App and third-party services:

Device information (model, OS version, screen size, language)
App usage data, crash reports, and performance metrics
Advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID)
Network information for analytics and ad delivery

2. Android Permissions We Request & Why

We only request permissions that are necessary for the core functionality of the App. Here is the complete list:

android.permission.VIBRATE	Provide haptic feedback for button presses and reminders.
android.permission.CAMERA	Optional heart rate estimation using your phone’s camera (photoplethysmography / PPG). The camera is used only for real-time calculation — we do not save or upload any photos or videos.
android.permission.ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION	Used exclusively for accurate step counting in the background.
android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_HEALTH	Keep step counting, reminders, and health services running reliably while the App is in the background.
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS	Used for health reminders and foreground step counting notifications.
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED	Restart background health services after your phone reboots.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID	Enable personalized advertising and ad attribution (required by Google AdMob).

You can revoke most permissions at any time in your device Settings > Apps > HeartBP Launcher > Permissions.

Important: Your health data (blood pressure, heart rate, steps, etc.) is stored locally on your device and is never shared with any advertising, analytics, or attribution platforms (including AdMob, Firebase, Adjust, etc.).

5. Data Storage, Sharing & Security

Health data (BP readings, heart rate, steps, etc.) is stored locally on your device. We do not upload your personal health readings to our servers.

We share limited non-health data with trusted service providers only for the purposes described above (analytics, advertising, crash reporting).

We do not sell your personal data. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can delete all your data at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling it.
You can revoke permissions in Android Settings at any time.
You can opt out of personalized ads in Google Settings > Ads (or in the App where available).
